Top marks for student satisfaction/News Release Agency - EventsPressReleases.com/ Students at Royal Holloway, University of London are among the most satisfied in England according to this year's National Student Survey results announced todayThe College has maintained a high student satisfaction score for the fourth year in a row after students gave an impressive 86% overall satisfaction rating on the quality of their academic experience. The result places Royal Holloway in joint 28th place out of 129 universities in England, and comfortably ahead of the national sector average. 64% of eligible students took part in the national student poll this year. The Principal, Professor Paul Layzell, commented, _I would like to thank all 1,261 students for sharing their feedback on their experiences at Royal Holloway and fully appreciate the hard work and contributions made by staff in response to the NSS that have helped to attain our highest ever overall score this year, and will enable us to maintain our competitive edge in the future. Royal Holloway remains firmly committed to delivering a high quality academic experience to its students and recognizes that there's always room for improvement. We are driving forward a host of initiatives aimed at providing an outstanding student experience for future generations of students in response to the NSS and other feedback._ The 1994 Group of leading research-intensive universities, of which Royal Holloway is a member, has for the sixth year emerged as the top group of universities in the National Student Survey. 87.4% of students at the Group's 19 member universities indicated they are satisfied with the overall student experience compared to a national sector average of 81.6%. The results from the NSS are used to populate the Unistats website _ a searchable database to assist students in accessing information about universities and courses when deciding on their subject and where to study.
